La Antigua Guatemala is a safe city. However, while you are visiting we suggest you take common sense precautions, as you would in any other city.

Whenever

you are outside the event, be sure to remove the Congress badge that you will wear around your neck in the event.

Do not carry large amounts

of cash with you; carry only what you will need.

Keep your belongings

with you both inside and outside the conference.

Be alert

and vigilant in crowded places, as well as in restaurants and public places. Be aware of people who are distracting and/or entertaining the public in the streets.

When you are on the streets

of La Antigua Guatemala, know in advance how to get back to your hotel or destination to appear confident and safe.
